Guam Solid Waste Management Division Announces Holiday Schedule

(Guam, December 11, 2009) – The Guam Solid Waste Management Division (SWMD) announces its temporary Christmas and New Year’s schedule for weekly trash collection, transfer stations, and Ordot Dump:

Weekly Trash Collections:
There will be no trash collected on Christmas Day, Friday December 25, 2009.  Customers whose trash is normally collected on Friday will be collected on the following day, Saturday December 26, 2009.

There will be no trash collected on New Year’s Day, Friday January 1, 2010.  Customers whose trash is normally collected on Friday will be collected on the following day, Saturday January 2, 2010.  Beginning on Monday January 4, 2010, weekly trash collection will resume to their regular schedule, Monday through Friday.

Transfer Stations:
Transfer stations will be closed on Christmas Day, Friday December 25, 2009 and on New Year’s Day, Friday January 1, 2010.  Beginning on January 2, 2010 the Transfer Stations will resume their regular days of operation: Thursday through Monday.

Ordot Dump:
Ordot Dump will be closed on Christmas Day, Friday December 25, 2009 and on New Year’s Day, Friday January 1, 2010.  Beginning on January 2, 2010, the Ordot Dump will resume its regular days of operation: Monday through Saturday.
